The St Hugh’s College Alumni Association’s symposium is celebrating the life of alumna and law pioneer, Gwyneth Bebb (Law, 1908), one of the first women barristers, and the impact of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919, which enabled women to enter the professions for the first time. This event will take place as part of the University’s Alumni Weekend programme.
For further information and to book, please visit the University website. St Hugh’s alumni can enter the discount code ‘Bebb’ to book a free ticket (standard price £10), and guests are most welcome. Guests are invited to bring picnics to enjoy in the College grounds before the event.
