Lincoln’s Inn Women’s Forum “Deeds Not Words”: 100 Years Since Women Gained the Right to Vote

This year marks 100 years since the first wave of women were granted the right to vote in the UK. To celebrate Lincoln’s Inn is delighted that Professor June Purvis will present a lecture on the Suffrage movement and Christabel Pankhurst, who attempted to be admitted to the Inn in 1904. Professor Purvis is an Emerita Professor of Women’s and Gender history at the University of Portsmouth as well as a biographer of Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst.

This talk will be followed by a networking drinks reception where attendees will have the opportunity to speak with leading figures at the Bar and the Judiciary.

The Forum will be chaired by Master Karen Shuman
