The First 100 Years is a video history project documenting the journey of women in the legal profession, from 1919 to present day. Work is now under way to create a digital museum made up of 100 video stories which will be donated to the British Library in 2019.
The videos are being produced by Naomi Jones, a former BBC Producer with a wealth of expertise of making History documentaries, Current Affairs programmes and factual dramas. Naomi said: “The moment I saw the photograph of Cornelia Sorabji I fell in love with this project; the people, the stories, the wonder and the issues at the centre of women’s first 100 years working in the law. It is an amazingly rich and powerful project, and I am honoured to be working with Dana and the team, capturing this history on film.”
