First 100 Years in the Press – Chambers and Partners

3rd July 2014
Legal support company Obelisk have teamed up with the Law Society in an ambitious project to document and commemorate 100 years of women practicing law in Britain.

The ‘First 100 Years Project‘, brainchild of Obelisk CEO and former Linklaters lawyer Dana Denis-Smith, aims to create an interactive library of inspirational stories from and about female pioneers in the legal profession.

The project will run for five years and will utilise a number of different multimedia formats to tell the story of how female lawyers have helped to shape the legal profession since 1919, the year that the Sexual Disqualification (removal) Act came into effect.
